Blackboard

The TLC is the primary point of contact for faculty members utilizing Blackboard Learning System CE8, Samford's online course management system. We are available to help develop online course materials, troubleshoot problems, digitize media for online delivery, and otherwise assist faculty members in utilizing this versatile learning platform. (If you are experiencing browser, Java, or other technical issues, we recommend that you contact the Technology Services help desk at 726-2662.)

We also offer basic through advanced technology workshops covering various Blackboard-related topics several times a year. Please let us know if you have suggestions for future workshop topics; we will try to work them in if possible.

Documentation

We have developed various guides detailing common procedures related to Blackboard, and have posted them here in PDF format. You will need to have the free Adobe Reader program installed on your computer in order to view them. Additional resources are available within Blackboard as well.
