Student Policies
- Certificates of Completion and CEUs
-
Certificates of Completion and continuing education units (CEUs) are awarded to each person who successfully completes a noncredit activity and who attends a minimum of 80% of all scheduled class meetings. CEUs are widely recognized by employers, licensing agencies and other entities that require a specific number of hours of instruction for career advancement. One CEU is defined as ten contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified instruction. Units are computed in tenths, that is for example, 5 contact hours equals 0.5 CEU's, and are awarded on a credit/no credit basis. Some programs may provide industry specific credit. Please inquire with Samford After Sundown as to whether industry specific credit is available for the program, course or seminar in which you are interested.
Students will be issued documentation of their completion only upon request. Please contact the Samford After Sundown office to request that your copy be mailed today.
