Samford University provides work opportunities for students through the two following programs: The Federal Work Study program (FWS) is need-based, as determined by the FAFSA, and the Institutional Student Employment Program (ISEP) is not need-based.
Follow the steps below to search for and obtain a job through one of Samford's Student Employment Programs:
- Obtain a student job on campus or through the Community Work Service Program.
- Before beginning work and receiving a paycheck, the following forms must be completed and returned to the Human Resources Office. Some forms are available online and others must be completed in Human Resources located in Room 302 of Samford Hall:
- Confidentiality Agreement
- I-9 Form - This form must be completed in Human Resources and original forms of identification will be needed to comply with Federal government regulations. Click on the I-9 Form link to see the list of acceptable documents. You will need one document from List A OR one from List B and List C.
- Federal Tax Form (Form W-4)
- Alabama State Tax Form (Form A-4)
- Direct Deposit Form (optional)
- Student Employment Form (to be completed by the hiring department)
- Change of Status Form (to be completed by supervisor)
- Social Security Card Application & Directions (if you do not have a valid Social Security Card)
