Dr. T. Scott Mginnis, Associate Professor of Religion, Howard College of Arts and Sciences
Since coming to Samford in 2002, Dr. McGinnis has taught courses in history and theology, including Cultural Perspectives, Contemporary Theology, and Tolerance and Freedom in Christian Thought. His research interests focus on medieval and early modern Christian thought, with special attention to the English puritans, church/state relations, popular religion, and the history of religious dissent. His book George Gifford and the Reformation of the Common Sort: Puritans Perspectives on Elizabethan Religious Life was published in 2004, and he is currently at work on an edited volume of Elizabethan puritan dialogues. |
