Dr. Whitt

Dr. Nancy Whitt, Professor and Chair of English, Howard College of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Whitt has taught at Samford for 35 years. She holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Alabama and a certificate in feminist theology and spirituality from the Women’s Theological Center. A member of the Religious Society of Friends, Nancy has served with various local and national Quaker organizations, and has spoken at conferences in both America and abroad. Dr. Whitt has published articles in Friends Journal, Friendly Woman, and What Canst Thou Say.  She currently serves on the Board of Friends Journal.
