Lynda Childers Suffridge is vice president of the National Genealogical Society and chair of the NGS Awards Committee. She is secretary of the Arkansas Genealogical Society and a Life Member and past president of that organization. She is author of NGS Research in the States: Arkansas and editor of the Perry County (Arkansas) Historical & Genealogical Society Newsletter. She is co-editor of the Arkansas Genealogical Society E-zine and co-editor of Perry County, Arkansas: Its Land & People. In 2007 she won the Arkansas Genealogical Society's Family History Writing Contest and the Arkansas Historical Association Award for Best Family History in a County or Local Historical Journal for her article "Descendants of Reuben Searcy and Isabella McDonald." She is a speaker at NGS and FGS Conferences and lectures in Course III at IGHR. She is an alumnus of NIGR and a graduate of the NGS Home Study Course.
