Angela McGhie

Angela Packer McGhie is a genealogical researcher, lecturer and instructor. She is the administrator of the ProGen Study Program where she manages groups studying Professional Genealogy. Angela is the coordinator for the Advanced Evidence Analysis Practicum at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG), and has taught at the National Institute on Genealogical Research (NIGR) and Howard Community College. This summer she will be an instructor at the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP).

Angela currently serves on the education committee of the Association of Professional Genealogists(APG) and is the immediate past president of the National Capital Area Chapter of APG. She has presented lectures at local, regional and national venues including the NGS 2012 Family History Conference, and has published in the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly.

In August of 2010 Angela was honored with a formal certificate of appreciation from the Association of Professional Genealogists for her leadership and service. She lives in Maryland with her husband and three children.
