Angela Packer McGhie is the administrator of the ProGen Study Program where she manages groups studying Professional Genealogy. Angela is the coordinator for the Advanced Evidence Analysis Practicum at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, and has taught at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research, the National Institute on Genealogical Research, the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh, and Howard Community College.

Angela currently serves on the education committee of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and is the immediate past president of the National Capital Area Chapter of APG. She has presented lectures at local, regional and national venues and has published in the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly.

In 2010 Angela was recognized with the Walter Lee Shepard prize in the Advanced Methodology and Evidence Analysis course at IGHR, and was honored with a formal certificate of appreciation from the Association of Professional Genealogists for her leadership and service. She lives in Maryland with her husband and three children.
