Ann Carter Fleming, CG, CGL, FNGS, is an author, lecturer, researcher, and volunteer. She currently serves as
vice-president of the Board for Certification of Genealogists, treasurer for St. Louis Genealogical Society,
and board member for the Friends of the Missouri State Archives and Friends of St. Louis County Library. She
is a past president of the National Genealogical Society and St. Louis Genealogical Society, and a former board member
of Missouri State Genealogical Association and Association of Professional Genealogists.
Ann is the author of St. Louis Family History Research Guide (2008), Organizaed Family Historian (2004)
and co-author of Research in Missouri(1999,2007). She is a former co-editor of NGS Research in the States.
She co-authored a chapter in the third edition of The Source (2006), "Business, Institution, and Organization Records,"
co-authored the National Genealogical Society Quarterly article, "Slaves, Soldiers, and Citizens: Special Civil War
Recruitment Lists" (June 2003) and authored the NGSQ article "Genealogical Appliations of American Statute Law"
(September 2007). She co-authored two family histories and the author of two others.
