The French, German, and Spanish
Clubs are active organizations with membership open to language
students of all levels of
study. Clubs usually meet once per month and present programs
of cultural and/or academic interests.
The National Honor Societies of Pi Delta Phi (French), Sigma
Delta Pi (Spanish), Dobro Slovo (Slavic), and Delta Phi Alpha
(German) initiate students whose grade point average and superior
performance in upper-level language classes qualify for membership.
The Association of World Language Majors was created to meet
the needs of language students in their collegiate and career
goals. Members of this organization serve in an advisory capacity
to the department and learn more about academic and professional
opportunities for all language majors.
