We are pleased to welcome you to the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication. Our program offers tracks in print journalism, broadcast and electronic journalism and public relations.
Scholarships

JMC grants between 30 and 40 departmental scholarships every year. The awards are given based on test scores, grade point average and pre-professional involvement in student media. All majors are eligible to apply.

Any student applying to Samford with an interest in a JMC scholarship must fill out a separate departmental scholarship application. Completed Scholarship applications should be submitted by Feb. 1. Departmental scholarships are renewable contingent on Samford academic performance and student media involvement.
