Assistant Professor Sheree Martin has a professional background as a practicing attorney and freelance writer and was an assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Broadcasting at Oklahoma State University (2003-2007) where she taught courses in media law, communication theory, and history of mass communication.
Scholarly interests include the rights of privacy and publicity, media practices, and the role of communication and mass media in public understanding of science, health and environmental issues.
Dr. Martin is an avid outdoors person and environmentalist and enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, jogging, bicycling and snowskiing (when the opportunity arises). She also enjoys cooking, reading, music, spending time with her Labrador Retriever and cat and hanging out on her family's farm near the Shoals in North Alabama. Sheree is a native of Russellville, Alabama.
