THOMAS N. STALLWORTH, Jr., lives in Beatrice, where he and his wife of 62 years, Eva, grow azaleas as a hobby. They have more than 5,000 azaleas on their lawn.

WILSON C. WILHITE, Jr., M.D., was honored with a life membership in the American Society of Anesthesiologists, which he served as president in 1994. He will be a delegate to the 2002 World Congress of Anesthesiologists meeting in Paris, France. He is retired professor emeritus, University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine, and professor, Univeristy of Texas School of Medicine–Houston. He and wife, Pat, live in Daphne and Canmore, Alberta, Canada.

R. KIRBY GODSEY, Ph.D., president of Mercer University, is the recipient of the 2002 Chief Executive Leadership Award for extraordinary service and leadership in advancement and education. The award was presented by District III, Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

JAMES and MILDRED HEARN DILLARD ’63 live in Mauldin, S.C. She retired from the Greenville school district in 2001. He is a health minister.
JAMES B. PRICE of Pinson was recognized by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service for his outstanding service as a weather observer. He has reported temperature and precipitation data from the same location, without interruption, for over five decades. It is estimated that he has taken more than 55,000 observations and walked over 4,000 miles to and from his instrument shelter.

J. WAYNE FLYNT, distinguished university professor, Auburn University, was elected vice president of the Southern Historical Association. An eminent historian, Flynt has taught history at Samford and Auburn, where he also served as head of the History Department.

EDIE J. SMITH is a family nurse practitioner in Hawaii when not deployed internationally with the U.S. Army Reserves as a captain in the Army Nurse Corps. She recently was on a four-month humanitarian mission to Federated States of Micronesia in the South Pacific. She earned a master’s in nursing/family nurse practitioner from the University of Phoenix, Honolulu campus, with honors, in 2001.

KATHRYN WOODYARD was named 2001–02 Student Teacher Achievement Recognition teacher at Monroe Comprehensive High School, Albany, Ga. This is the fourth time she has been chosen for the honor by the school’s STAR student.

MORGAN GREEN returned to Jordan after a year in Georgia on stateside assignment with the International Mission Board. He and his wife, Donna, coordinate educational exchanges and do humanitarian work in Palestinian refugee camps. They have a daughter, Annie.

TSEDAY SIRAK was among the first 26 graduates from Ben Gurion University with a doctor of medicine degree in international health and medicine. The program, the first of its kind, is in collaboration with Columbia University. She will enter a residency program in internal medicine at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She holds a master’s in public health from the University of South Florida.
DOUG TURNURE is co-author of a book for Addison-Wesley and the DevelopMentor Technical series, Effective Visual Basic. She recently completed training and certification as a personal and professional lifestyle coach.
JOHN GREEN earned a specialist in education degree from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Ga., majoring in teaching and learning with a specialty in foreign language education/French. He presented his research at the Foreign Language Association of Georgia conference. This summer, he is studying French in Vichy, France, as part of a scholarship from the French Embassy in Washington, D.C.
BARRETT JORDAN is the organizing pastor for Redeemer Presbyterian Church, PCA, a new church in Hurricane, W.Va. He and his wife, Judy, have two children, Alley and Jeremiah.
PENNY MICHELE LANGDON married James Flowers in August.
JUSTIN RUDD and his English bulldog Rosie will be featured in an upcoming episode of Going Home on the Home and Garden Television Network. The show chronicles Justin’s trip home to Ozark from Long Beach, Calif., where he is a public relations account executive. The film crew covered a birthday celebration for Justin and his twin brother.

CASEY and LORI WEBB FITZSIMONS live in Charlotte, N.C., where they are planting a new church, Charlotte North Fellowship. They have a son, Mitchell, two.
GRAYSON and KATHERINE TOLLISON HILTON ’95 live in Birmingham. He is a project manager with MACESS Corp. An employee communications specialist with Compass Bank, she is responsible for three monthly publications and all online communications.
M. PATRICK LOWE married Kimberly Ann Brady in April. He is administrative chief resident, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Iowa, and will begin a fellowship in gynecologic oncology and pelvic surgery at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

KIMBERLY JEAN POLLICK married E. J. Moon in March. They live in Tampa, Fla. She was recently awarded President’s Club, the top sales award at Tech Data Corporation.
MICHELLE JACKSON SUMRALL is a pediatrician in Elizabethtown, Ky. She and her husband, Rob, have two children, Joshua Ryan, three, and Laura Elizabeth, born in August.

MEREDITH ANN DAVENPORT is events division director for The Storehouse, a nonprofit ministry organization in Birmingham. She organizes ministry events, directs the drama team and is a featured speaker.

MOLLY LOGAN married Curtis James Neel in November. They live in Belleair, Fla., where she is manager of the national sales division for Cox Target Media.

CRYSTAL FELICIA HICKS received a master’s degree in nursing from Samford in May. She is a registered nurse with Children’s Health System, Birmingham.
