Exciting Swiss Winter
Escapade
Offered
to Samford Alumni, Friends
The
Samford Alumni Association will sponsor an eight-day Winter Escapade
to Switzerland and the charming village of Interlaken Jan. 21-28,
2002. Headquarters for this exciting getaway will be the five-star
Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, one of Europe’s finest.
Switzerland is a land of grandeur and beauty that combines awesome
peaks, deep forests and clear streams with a treasure chest of architecture
spanning 20 centuries. It is also a shopper's paradise and home
to Grindelwald, one of the world's paramount ski resorts, which
skiers in the Samford group may visit.
Skiers and non-skiers alike will find plenty to enjoy on this fun-filled
excursion. Zurich, Berne, the cheese region of Gruyeres, Lucerne
and the pristine alpine resort of Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn,
are all close enough to visit via Switzerland's famed railway system
or excursion coach.
Samford alumni and friends will travel to Zurich from Atlanta and
return via scheduled trans-Atlantic service such as Swissair, Lufthansa
or similar carrier. They will enjoy Swiss buffet breakfast daily
and unlimited use of the hotel pool, indoor tennis and golf facilities,
sauna, billiards and fitness center.
The special Samford Alumni Association price is $1,595 per person
from Atlanta, based on double occupancy. Some single accommodations
are available for an additional $350. Reservations are to be paid
in full by November 7, 2001.
