April Robinson named Director
of Student Ministries at Samford
April L. Robinson '93 has been named director of Student Ministries at Samford. She began duties Aug. 1 after serving as associate minister of recreation and youth at First Baptist Church, Asheville, N.C.

The Opelika native holds a B.A. in religious education from Samford and a master of theological studies from Duke University. She served previously as minister of youth and children at First Baptist Church, Spruce Pine, N.C.

During student days at Samford, Robinson served as summer missionary at Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries, president of the Student Ministries Executive Council and SGA senator.

Rev. ROBERT B. ALLMAN, M.Div. '97, is pastor of First Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Russellville. He is also a chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserves.

KRISTEN S. BRAVY and her husband, Brian, live in Hampton, Ga. She works in training and recruiting for hospitals, and does freelance work with ABC Sports.

LONNIE STAFFORD COGGINS of Nashville, Tenn., is vice president of Renovation Group Inc., general contractors. He and his wife, Jennifer, have a daughter, Madeline Taylor, one.

MATT COOK is convenor of the newly created Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Young Leader's Network. He is enrolled in Baylor University's Ph.D. degree program in theological studies. He will focus on historical theology.

MICHAEL SHANE HARMON teaches sixth grade, coaches seventh grade football and is assistant varsity coach at Briarwood Christian School, Birmingham. He and his wife, Dana, live in Wilsonville with their two children.

MERI MELISSI HARTLEY-BLECIC is a student at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She is a grade-on candidate for the Nova Law Review and Journal of International and Comparative Law. She is a summer intern in the Public Defender's Office, Broward County, Fla.

BROOKE and JENNI COOK HOLBERT '96 live in Birmingham, where he is a sales representative for Virtual Learning Technologies, a software development firm, and she is volunteer coordinator at McWane Center, a hands-on science museum. They have an infant son, Grayson Riley.

KIRSTEN HUNT KOWALSKI, L'96, has been appointed vice president legal, retail leasing, with Colonial Properties Trust. She is based at corporate headquarters in Birmingham.
