GARY BARKLEY, professor
of church history at Seinan Gakuin University in Japan, has
been elected to a three-year term as trustee of the Seinan Gakuin
Educational Foundation. He will present two sessions on trans-religious
spiritualities-Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim and Christian-at
a meeting of Spiritual Directors International.
CHAD COHENOUR has purchased Chad's Pay-Less Pharmacy in Florence,
a member of the American Pharmacy Cooperative, Inc. He and his
wife, Virginia, have three daughters: Madeline DeEtte, Audrey
Janet and Frances Virginia.
Dr. ROSEANNE COLEMAN of Brentwood, Tenn., is president of Roseanne
Coleman Ministries and owns and operates a nonprofit transitional
home for women and children in crisis, Rachel's Refuge, in Franklin,
Tenn. She holds a doctorate in English from Middle Tennessee
State University.
ANN THORNTON FIELD has been named co-chair of Cozen and O'Connor
law firm's insurance litigation group, which oversees the 60-plus
insurance attorneys who practice at the firm's Philadelphia,
Pa., office. She concentrates on aviation law, product liability
and commercial litigation.
Dr. BAYNE POUNDS has been named assistant professor of
women's ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
She is a conference leader in the areas of ministerial liability
and youth ministry. She and her husband, JERRY, have two children.
ROBERT F. TAYLOR, L'80, has joined the global law firm of Baker
& McKenzie's Tashkent, Uzbekistan, office. He is a commercial
lawyer in the firm's Central Asian and Caucusus practice group,
based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He specializes in international
project development, commercial transactions and energy law.

MIKE and PATSY FERGUSON
BURGESS '79 live in Norcross, Ga. He is president and general
manager of Crown International Consulting, a firm that recruits
and consults in the credit card industry.
WACHITA HAYWOOD was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show
in April to discuss the "Bridging the Gap" mission
she founded in 1998 to help feed and fellowship the homeless
in Birmingham. The family project involves her husband, Ron,
and their children, Ronnie, 17, John Ryan, 12, and Ronneka,
nine. She is quality consultant at Veteran's Administration
Hospital.
Rev. KEN MADDOX, pastor of South Highland Baptist Church in
Bessemer, is planting Living Waters Church at McAdory, which
will be contemporary in worship style.
LISA WORLEY has been named to the District 7 Board of
Directors of the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents Association.
She is associated with Anchor Insurance Agency in Hoover.

physical education and recreation and teaches middle school
physical education/health with Richmond County Public Schools,
