MABEL E. WILLOUGHBY of Dothan is the author of a book of poetry, Echoes. The collection includes more than 100 poems she has written in journals over a lifetime. She served as Samford librarian from 1931 until 1956, organizing the library on Samford's East Lake campus and helping plan Davis Library on the Lakeshore Drive campus.

JOHN ROGERS MOORE and SARA ESTHER HUNT MOORE '28 celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary in August. He was a teacher in Alabama public schools before retirement. She taught piano and served as church organist. They live at Galleria Woods Retirement Center in Birmingham.
