October Events Will Explore Hurricane Katrina, International Issues, Ten Commandments

"...The fall conference of the Alabama Environmental Educators Consortium, on October 8, will focus on environmental sustainability and the impact of Hurricane Katrina. A joint presentation by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Anne Applebaum and scholar Radek Sikorski on October 10 will feature the topics 'Reflections on the Soviet Gulag' and 'U.S.-European Relations.' Noted Middle East expert Fawaz A. Gerges will return to Samford on October 13 to discuss 'The Far Enemy: Why Jihad Went Global.' Beeson Divinity School and Cumberland School of Law will present the 'The Ten Commandments on Display: A Discussion on Religion, Law and Public Life' on October 13..." (continued...)
