"... attendees may tour the new math and computer science facilities, view demonstrations of how faculty members are teaching in their new environment, see some of the work math and computer science students and faculty are doing, and enjoy refreshments and fellowship..." The Department of Math and Computer Science will hold an Open House from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, March 18. Samford alumni, employees, former department employees and members of Samford’s Arts and Science Advisory Board are invited to the event, which will showcase the department's new home in newly remodeled Russell Hall. Beginning in fall 2003, the Department of Math and Computer Science has occupied the east wing of the second floor (ground floor) and the entire third floor of the renovated building. Open House attendees may tour the new math and computer science facilities, view demonstrations of how faculty members are teaching in their new environment, see some of the work math and computer science students and faculty are doing, and enjoy refreshments and fellowship. The renovated Russell Hall will be dedicated along with the renovated Ingalls Hall on Friday, May 21 at 10 a.m. For more information, contact David Foreman: |
