Samford’s Gift Planning office now offers a weekly e-mail newsletter, GiftLegacy, featuring up-to-date information and ideas on managing personal finances and estate plans. Stan Davis, Samford's director of gift and estate planning, said the free publication is designed to help members of the Samford community keep up with the ever-changing world of personal finance. Davis said each issue of GiftLegacy "is designed to help readers quickly find the sections they want to read." |
Those sections include Savvy Senior, Financial Update and Washington Update. The newsletter also features articles, a private, personalized service that shows the potential benefits of setting up a gift plan and stories about how friends of Samford have used the University's financial planning services for the benefit of both their families and future generations of Samford students. "In certain situations," Davis said, "the same plans that enhance personal well-being can also serve Samford's unique mission."
