Boyd Christenberry shares stories of his life journey during the Oct. 8 dedication of Christenberry Planetarium at Samford University. His story is the subject of a 1997 biography, Achieving Balance, by J. Paul Till.

Boyd Christenberry of Montgomery, Ala., enjoys a moment with granddaughters Selah and Elise Christenberry of Birmingham, Ala., at a luncheon in his honor following the dedication of the Christenberry Planetarium at Samford University. The girls are the daughters of William Christenberry, a member of Samford’s board of overseers.

The five Christenberry children and 17 grandchildren are introduced during dedication ceremonies for the Christenberry Planetarium at Samford University, which honors their father and grandfather, Boyd Christenberry of Montgomery.
