Serving as the official opening of the fortnight of inaugural activities, this worship service is modeled after the British Evensong tradition, and is led by Samford students, faculty and alumni.

Investiture Ceremony

Leslie Stephen Wright Fine Arts Center Concert Hall

The ceremony features the formal investiture of Dr. Westmoreland by the board of trustees, greetings from representatives of Samford constituencies, a parade of flags, the processional of faculty and official delegates, and performances by the Samford Choral Union and University brass.

Admission is by ticket only. To reserve tickets, please return the response form that was mailed with your invitation.

Students may pick up tickets at tables on the Wright Center terrace beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 2. Students will receive convocation credit for attendance by signing and returning their ticket at the conclusion of the investiture ceremony.
