Scholarship

Samford fraternity chapters take great pride in their level of scholastic achievement.  The all-fraternity GPA is consistently highter than the non-Greek men's GPA. 

Programs:  Each group offers study hall hours, tutoring opportunities, and incentives for high GPA's

Social

The Greek system provides a diverse selection of social events ranging from wekly meetings to mixers.  These events give members the opportunity to develop lasting friendships.

Events:  Formals, mixers with other sororities and fraternities, Homecoming, Greek Week, dinners, retreats, intramurals, etc.

Leadership

Fraternity membership offers men a variety of positions to sharpen leadership skills.  These skills help men to get involved in other leadership positions on campus.

Leadership Involvement:  Fraternity officers, SGA, SAC, academic and leadership honor societies and more.

Service

Samford University fraternities support a strong tradition of service to our campus and community.  Each year Greek members donate thousands of dollars, and more importantly, thousands of hours to various charities. 

Service Examples:  Greek-wide Nursing Home Prom, Sports Tournaments to benefit charities, etc.

Christianity

Fraternities were founded on Christian beliefs and principles.  Samford's uniquely Christian atmosphere is a place where Greeks are encouraged to live out their values.
