George Irons' Trophy Case
Dr. Irons' trophy case at the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame Museum, where his track shoes and jersey (number 1) are enshrined. Irons wore these in record smashing victory in hard driving rain in 1923. Irons' record never broken or equaled in 45 years. Dr. Irons was the oldest member of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
