Writing Proficiency Exam and "W" Courses

Writing Proficiency Exam
The Writing Proficiency Exam (WPE) has been eliminated as a graduation requirement for transfer students who have not passed UCCA 102 with a C- or better.

"W" Courses
The graduation requirement of completing two "W" courses has been eliminated beginning Summer 2009.

As stated in the catalog:

"Samford University considers the development of students’ writing proficiency an
important objective. All students must complete Communication Arts II (UCCA
102) at Samford (or transfer an equivalent course) with a grade of C- or better."
