The Charlotte Program Is Online

haid.gif (10811 bytes)Bill Haid, AACRAO President-Elect, recently announced that the session and workshop listings and descriptions for the AACRAO Annual Meeting in Charlotte, NC, are now available for viewing on-line with your web browser pointed to http://www.aacrao.com/am98/index.html. Check out the annual meeting page for information about the meeting schedule, things to do in Charlotte, and now a link to the program database for a full listing of session and workshop information.

"The program web page is a work in progress, but one we’re really excited about", said Haid. The program listings can be found by viewing a table of session titles and scheduled times. Each session has a link to a full description of the session including presenter information. A second table of workshops will lead to a description of the workshop with information on scheduling and fees. A separate search feature is provided for locating sessions or workshops by keywords, names, or program codes.

"This is really great", said president Paul Anderson during a demonstration of the web page. "This will be a great service for our members", he predicted.

The program committee is still fine tuning a few of the sessions and some presenters are not yet confirmed, so changes to the listings will be updated as they are made to the database. "The program is essentially complete", said Haid, "thanks to a great job by the program committee, their committee chairs and members, and the 300+ participants in the program."
