What is Focus?

Focus is a community of students who take three courses in common:

All freshmen take these courses in their first semester at Samford, and all are engaged in service-learning in Communication Arts 101. Students who enroll in Focus will simply take these three courses with the same group of students. You won't do more work in Focus, but you may find that your work means more. Students enrolled in Focus will receive 8 convocation credits after completing service.
