College Tournaments
Samford participates in numerous intercollegiate debate tournaments throughout the year. Samford competes in the Southeast Central Region (SEC) of the Cross Examination Debate
Association (CEDA), and District Six of the National Debate Tournament (NDT).
Junior Samford debater Logan Gramzinski was named Varsity Debater of the Year and 2nd Overall Speaker in the Southeast Central this year. Jaymer Cloninger was named Junior Varsity Debater of the Year in the Southeast Central. Freshman debater Ben Johnson was named 2nd Best JV Speaker of the Year in the Southeast Central.
The Samford debate team of Dan Bagwell and Logan Gramzinski qualified for the National Debate Tournament after winning 5 out of 6 rounds at the District Six NDT Qualifier.
