Public Debates
Samford will be hosting a public debate against Vanderbilt University on Wednesday, April 22nd at 5:30 pm in the Moot Court room. We will be debating whether or not capitalism is moral.
Samford hosts numerous public debates on campus, including the Japanese national debate team and the British national debate team.
In 2008, the team debated the question of whether or not the United States should abolish the death penalty.Nick Agnello & Erin Ramsey defended that the United States should not abolish the death penalty, with the Japanese National Debate Team arguing that it should be abolished.
