The 2010 Samford Summer Debate Institute -
2010 Advanced Policy Scholars Application
Our directors this year:
***This year we will be offering a third week of intensive policy debate training called "Dr. Galloway's Advanced Policy Scholars." This is an optional third week of training for policy debaters with our top faculty members, headed by Dr. Galloway. This special session will run from July 11 - 17, 2010. It is a high-intensity strategy session with emphasis on researching specific strategies against affirmatives at other camps and further developing the skills needed to be a successful policy debater on the national circuit. This is a rare and unique opportunity to train with one of the nation's top debate minds. Dr. Galloway has coached teams in the elimination rounds of every major national tournament (including the NDT), has published articles on debate and argumentation in leading journals, and is consistently one of the highest ranked debate judges in the country. In order to maintain the quality of training during this third week, we are limiting enrollment to only 12 students. Dr. Galloway will hand-pick the 12 students and offer them this amazing opportunity by June 1, 2010.
