Counseling Services
Office Hours and Appointments
Counseling Services is located on the lower level, east side of Seibert Hall. Enter through the entrance of the "University Health Services" sign. Counseling Services is open for appointments Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility. On-site appointments are pre-paid through student fees and are no extra cost to the student. To schedule an appointment, please email: ryoakum@samford.edu or call (205) 726-2065.
Confidentiality
- Confidentiality is protected by Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) laws. Protected health information may be disclosed without written permission in situations of imminent danger for the student or others, where it is required by court, or when students have written permission.
- Only the student can make decisions regarding reporting to State Professional Boards or other agencies their use of University Counseling services. The specific disclosure of protected health information for each student would be discussed during sessions.
