Wordmarks and Other Logos

Each academic school, department and organization has a variation of the belltower logo that can be used following the same guidelines as for the official university belltower logo.

Schools with approved academic insignia (nursing, pharmacy, divinity, education) as of 1/1/09 may use those insignia only in conjunction with the official belltower logo for the university or their school. The insignia cannot be larger than the official belltower logo.

Academic units and other program areas may, from time to time, develop logos for use in specific situations. These logos must identify the program as related to Samford University and must be used in conjunction with the official university logo. These should not be used singularly to identify Samford University. Requests for such logos must be reviewed and approved in advance with the office of communication.

Schools, departments, academic programs and administrative units must use the university’s official belltower logo and word marks. The office of communication is available to assist with researching, conceptualizing and developing logos and wordmarks in accordance with university graphic identity standards.
