wanunnel@samford.eduWilliam A. Nunnelley directs the Samford University news bureau and edits Seasons, the University’s quarterly magazine. He is an Accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and also holds membership in the Baptist Communicators Association (BCA) and Religion Communicators Council (RCC). Seasons has won awards from BCA, RCC and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
Nunnelley holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history and master’s degree in history from Samford. He has served in Samford’s university relations department for more than three decades. He is the author of two books, Bull Connor and a young reader’s biography, Fred Shuttlesworth: Civil Rights Actionist. He has written articles for American Legacy, American History, World War II and Georgia magazines, and book reviews for the Journal of Southern History.
