Ektron CMS400.net Content Management System
Ektron CMS400.net, the content management system used by the Office of Communication, enables designated individuals in Samford departments, schools or organizations to easily maintain their websites through a web browser such as Internet Explorer. No knowledge of HTML or programming of any kind is needed.
Ektron was selected in the summer of 2008 as a result of extensive deliberations by the Content Management Subgroup of the Web Services Working Group, consisting of representatives from budget units across campus. This new feature-rich, enterprise-level content management system (CMS) has been installed and will be implemented as soon as training is complete. Blogs, forums, community groups, breadcrumbs, site analytics and geomapping, plus easy editing of site content, are just a few of the features Ektron adds to Samford’s web services. Ektron is already being used by the McWhorter School of Pharmacy.
