csummers@samford.eduCaroline Baird Summers has photographed for Samford University for the past twelve years. Summers began her profession in photography more than twenty years ago as a photographic stringer for United Press International. In 1991, she began photographing for Associated Press, covering national news and sporting events throughout the Southeast United States. In addition to her wire service affiliations, her work has appeared in such publications as Country Weekly magazine, Glamour magazine, and USA Today. She is a former tournament photographer for the Bruno’s Memorial Classic Senior PGA Golf Tournament, a position she held for ten years.
Summers attended the University of Alabama from 1986 to 1989 where she received her BA in Communication, majoring in photojournalism. She currently holds membership in the University Photographers Association of America.
Summers divides her professional time between Samford University and Business Alabama Magazine as well as occasional freelance assignments.
