Eligibility Requirements

The Department of Communication Studies has established the following eligibility requirements. These requirements reflect departmental policy and are non-negotiable.

• The student must be a major or minor in the Department of Communication Studies.
• The student must be a junior or senior.
• The COMS major must have completed at least four of the major's core requirements. The COMS minor must have completed at least three courses in Communication Studies.
• The student must have a 2.7 overall grade point average.
• The student must attend the three required Career Development Center workshops prior to completing the application procedure and be present for the duration of each workshop.
• The student must obtain a positive recommendation from a faculty member.
