Assistant

| These
positions are filled through an informal interview procedure at the
beginning of the academic year and as vacancies occur afterward. Office
assistants are expected to serve the office in a professional capacity;
answering telephones, responding to questions and inquiries, providing
general clerical assistance and other duties as assigned by the Director.
Good computer skills are desired. |
| Facility
Supervisor |
| These
positions are filled through an informal interview procedure at the
beginning of the academic year and as vacancies occur afterward. Facility
Supervisors are expected to serve the office in a professional capacity;
answering telephones, responding to questions and inquiries, providing
general clerical assistance, ensure staff is at their scheduled shift,
make regular rounds through out the facilities to ensure safety of
participants and do ID checks, and other duties as assigned by the
Director. |
| Intramural
Official |
| These
positions are filled based on a sign up procedure for each individual
sport. Officials' clinics are held to train students in the rules,
mechanics and policies and procedures for each sport. Attendance at
the officials' clinics and the skills performance evaluation is a
requirement for the position. The number of officials needed varies
with each sport. |
| Intramural
Supervisor |
| These
positions are selected through an application or interview process
similar to professional job searches. Interested students must have
served as an Intramural Official for at least one full academic year.
A resume is submitted, including references, and interviews are scheduled.
Between 4 and 6 people may be hired to fulfill the responsibilities
of the position. |
| Weightroom
Monitor |
| These
positions are filled through an informal interview procedure at the
beginning of the academic year and as vacancies occur afterward.
Weightroom Monitors are responsible for taking ID's from students
and/or faculty/staff before they enter the facility. Also maintain
the equipment, monitor workout individuals to ensure their safety
and other duties assigned by the Director. |
| Life
Guards |
| These
positions are filled through an informal interview procedure at the
beginning of the academic year and as vacancies occur afterward.
Life Gurards are responsible for the safety of all swimmers in the
pool, cleanlyness of the deck, and other duties assigned to them by
the Director. Life Guards must be certified before applying. |
| High
Point Facilitators |
| These
positions are filled through an application and training/testing process.
Interested students fill out an application and submit it along with
a resume. Applicants will receive hands-on training from current staff
members and will be tested on technical skills at the tower and the
wall. They will also be given an written test on policies and procedures.
Experience with ropes courses, team building or large group activities,
rock climbing or similar sports is helpful, but not necessary. |

Instructors |
| These
positions are filled through an application and training/testing process.
Interested students fill out an application and submit it along with
a resume. Applicants will receive hands-on training from current staff
members and will be tested on technical skills. Instructors must be
a certified instructor prior to application. |
