A Campaign for Samford

The world is better for it.

About the Campaign

In 1841, Samford University’s founders nurtured a small flame that would someday enlighten the world. This small group committed themselves to “establishing and endowing a university of a high character.” They envisioned a university of sincere faith, offering the best quality education. Today, as one of less than a dozen national doctoral research universities devoted to a Christian mission, that once small light shines brighter than ever as Samford University.

Regardless of the circumstances, through times of need or abundance, Samford people continually discover and fulfill unlimited potential to serve and to lead, and to dare to make the world a better place.
