Students Manage $1.1 Million of Endowment Funds

The Bulldog Investment Fund, launched February 2008, allows students the opportunity to learn the science and art of investment management. Students (undergraduate and M.B.A.s) are accepted by application and interview. The resulting team (approximately 8 to 12 students) meets weekly to determine its overall investment strategy, review analyses prepared by individual students, and vote on trade recommendations.

Investment professionals and corporate officers visit the fund during the semester. Two Fortune 500 CFOs and the former president of the New York Stock Exchange have met with the managers to share their experiences.

Final, binding decisions for investment trades are made by the students. The hallmark feature of student ownership makes this a unique learning experience.

Students who participate receive course credit, and may take the course twice for elective credit
