Barbara Cartledge is an Assistant Professor and Director of Undergraduate Programs for the Brock School of Business. She earned her M.B.A. from Samford University and a B.S in Mathematics, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University. She received the Outstanding Graduate Business Student award from Samford University, inducted in Phi Kappa Phi honorary and later inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.

Barbara joined Samford University in Fall 2003 as faculty and in Spring 2004 appointed as Director of the Undergraduate Programs.

Prior to entering academia, she was a Marketing Manager with BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc., where she managed a test market trial of advanced digital services interface technology. Prior to this engagement, she worked in the areas of market research, new product development, product management, human resources planning and forecasting.

Ms. Cartledge’s research interests include experiential learning via virtual business simulation in the classroom and the impact of individual mentorship of undergraduate students with professionals in the Samford community.

Barbara is married to Tom and has two children, Hall and Joan.
