Ultimate “Hammer Huckout” To Benefit Habitat for Humanity
Join Frisbee fans on Saturday Oct. 4 to support Samford’s First Hammer Huckout Ultimate event in benefit of Habitat for Humanity. “Hammer” and “huck” are terms used in Ultimate, a team sport played with a Frisbee or other brand flying disc. The event is sponsored by the Samford Club Ultimate Team and University Ministries.
All event proceeds will go to funding a house through the Samford chapter of Habitat of Humanity.
The teams participating in the tournament will be co-ed, including at least 7 men and 3 women (no more than 14 members per team). Each team will be provided with drinks and snacks throughout the day along with a dinner at the culmination of the tournament.
Cost will be $8 dollars per player. Sign up forms for teams will be available through email or in the University Ministries office.
The Hammer Huckout will begin at 9 a.m. at Samford’s Intramural Field opposite the campus across Lakeshore Drive (next to Homewood High School).
