Samford to Present Family Holiday Classic "White Christmas" Dec. 1-3

The Michael J. and Mary Anne Freeman Theatre and Dance Series at Samford University, in partnership with Merrill Lynch, will present the beloved Irving Berlin musical "White Christmas" Dec. 1-3. Performances will be Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. (for schools,) Dec. 2-3 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m., all in Samford's Wright Center Concert Hall. The Dec. 2 performance is sponsored by Merrill Lynch.

"White Christmas" is the story of two U.S. Army veterans singing and dancing their way through postwar America and landing at the struggling Vermont inn of their former commander. The men team-up with a sister act to draw guests to the inn with the irresistible holiday music of Irving Berlin, including "Blue Skies," "Sisters," "Happy Holiday," and, of course, "White Christmas".

Mark Castle directs the production, Randall Richardson provides musical direction and Roger van Fleteren provides choreography.
