Richard III, Merry Wives of Windsor To Share Set
Next Week

Samford's School of The Arts will present Shakespeare's Richard III and the comic opera Merry Wives of Windsor on the same theatre set next week, a challenging "first" for Samford.

Richard III will be presented Nov. 16, 18 and 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 22 at 2:30 p.m. The political thriller is set during the long civil war between the royal English families of York and Lancaster. Richard, misshapen both physically and morally, lusts for the power of the throne and will stop at little or nothing to acquire it.

The Merry Wives of Windsor, Otto Nicolai's operatic adaptation of the beloved Shakespeare comedy will be presented Nov. 17, 19 and 21 at 7:30 p.m.

The productions will share a set in Samford's Harrison Theatre.

Tickets are $12 (adults) $9 (seniors 55+) and $6 (students and children). Call (205) 726-2853 or visit www.samford.edu/arts/tickets.
