Volleyball Sets Win, Player of the Week Records, Wraps Home Play
Samford’s volleyball team reached 22 wins for the 2008 season in an Oct. 29 sweep of Chattanooga. The win gives the 2008 Bulldogs the school record for most wins in a season while it was also their 10th consecutive win at home.
The team then closed out home play on Nov. 2 with another sweep of Davidson (finishing its first home undefeated streak). Senior outside hitter Ashley Adams was named Southern Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the third time Nov. 4, an all-time school record for such honors.
The team next prepared for the final road games of the season at Western Carolina and Appalachian State Nov. 8 and 9 before closing out the season at Elon and UNC Greensboro Nov. 13 and 15.
