Unique 'King Lear' Interpretation Set for Nov. 8-11
Samford’s Michael J. and Mary Anne Freeman Theatre and Dance Series will present a unique new interpretation of William Shakespeare’s “King Lear” in Brock Recital Hall Nov. 8-10 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
"King Lear," Shakespeare’s master stroke of tragedy and philosophy, is ripe with tension, action and characters that rank among the bard’s most accessible to modern audiences.
If you have never been a fan of Shakespeare, prepare to have your mind changed as directing guest artist Elizabeth Hunter brings her extraordinary creative vision to the Samford stage.
