Author Thomas Kennedy To Speak Nov. 2
Author Thomas E. Kennedy, whose more than 20 books include the Copenhagen Quartet, will speak as part of the Samford University Writers Series Monday, Nov. 2. The 7 p.m. program in Samford’s Divinity Hall North 302 is open to the public free.
Kennedy has won both the O. Henry Prize for short stories and the Pushcart Prize for short stories, poetry, essays and other writing. He also won the European Short Story Competition twice.
Kennedy’s Copenhagen Quartet includes Kerrigan’s Copenhagen, A Love Story (2002), Bluett’s Blue Hours (2003), Greene’s Summer (2004) and Danish Fall (2005)—all novels about life in Copenhagen, where Kennedy resides. He also maintains a faculty position in Fairleigh Dickinson University’s master of fine arts program.
