Bobby Horton To Help Samford Celebrate Homecoming Nov. 6
Samford University’s Live at the Library series will present “Talkin’ and Playin’ with Bobby Horton” during Homecoming activities at the school Saturday, Nov 6.
The multi-instrumentalist, composer and Samford graduate will discuss his musical career journey at the 9:30 a.m. program on the second floor of the library. Horton will detail how his academic background at Samford, where he majored in business, has contributed to his success in the music industry.
A performer for 35 years with the popular musical-comedy trio, Three on a String, Horton has produced and performed scores for 13 PBS films, including Ken Burns’ “The Civil War” and “Baseball,” and many others for the A&E Network and National Park Service.
His Live at the Library talk and performance is presented as part of Samford’s 2010 Homecoming weekend schedule. The public is invited free of charge. For information, call (205) 726-2846.
