A special homecoming T-shirt has been designed and is available for purchase from Samford's office of alumni and parents programs. The long-sleeved T-shirts can be ordered in advance of homecoming through the Samford website or the Samford Alumni Association fan page on Facebook.
David Goodwin, director of alumni and parents programs, worked with Samford's creative services team to design the shirt. The primary icon on the shirt is the Davis Library belltower. All alumni have either studied under it or played on the Quad below it, Goodwin noted. On the back of the shirt is the Samford Alma Mater. The current version of the alma mater was written by then-student Kelly Courington in 1987.
"The shirt and overall look for homecoming this year was designed by a member of our advancement team," Goodwin said, "and I'm really excited about the way it captures aspects of what so many of us love about Samford. Plus, as it turns cool on campus, the long sleeves will keep you warm."Supplies are limited, so Goodwin encourages alumni to order shirts today.
