Join Alumni, Prospective Students for Marina Del Rey Cruise Oct. 10!
Samford's office of Alumni & Parents Programs in partnership with the Office of Admission will host an afternoon reception in Marina Del Rey on Sunday October 10 from 2-4 p.m.
Advancement Program Coordinator Emily Sparks said the event's format will be a first for Samford. “We will take a cruise through Marina Del Rey while alumni, parents, friends and prospective students mingle and share Samford stories,” she said. She added that Samford's last event at a Hollywood hotel attracted about 50 alumni and friends, and she expects a much larger crowd this time.
"It’s been just over two years since our last event in southern California, and we’re really excited to return to the west coast," said David Goodwin, director of Alumni and Parent Programs. “With close to 300 alumni in southern California, we hope for a great event.”
