Samford To Present "Moon Over Buffalo" Oct. 3-6
Samford University's Michael J. and Mary Anne Freeman Theatre and Dance Series will present Ken Ludwig's frantic comedy Moon Over Buffalo Oct. 3-5 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 6 at 2:30 p.m. All performances are in Harrison Theatre, Swearingen Hall, on Samford's campus.
Moon Over Buffalo focuses on the fading stardom of stage actors George and Charlotte Hay, poised to bring down the curtain on their careers and their relationship in a small theatre in Buffalo, N.Y. When famed director Frank Capra calls, suggesting he might have a place for them in his upcoming film redux of The Scarlet Pimpernel, the Hays scramble to put on the matinee of their lives—if only they could agree on the play they're performing! Full of misunderstandings, mistaken identities and missing persons, Moon over Buffalo garnered Tony nominations for Philip Bosco and Carol Burnett in its original Broadway run.
Samford's production, directed by Mark Castle, promises an evening of madcap hilarity.
Tickets are $12 (adult) and $6 (student). Purchase tickets online at tickets.samford.edu or call (205) 726-2853.
