Samford Hymn Sing Is On The Horizon
An afternoon of congregational singing will fill Samford’s Reid Chapel Sunday, October 2, 2011. It’s the annual Samford Hymn Sing and it is free and open to the public.
This marks the 8th year for the event. Marching to Zion is this year’s theme, led by Samford School of the Arts Dean Joseph Hopkins and Samford faculty member Eric Mathis.
Vestavia Hills Baptist Church Pastor, Garry Furr, brings his band, Shades Mountain Air, to sing hymns and gospel songs. While, Dianne Norton and Lynda Little, of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, will provide work on the piano and organ.
